Baja 1000: 2021 Baja 1000 prerun

Prerunning the 2021 Baja 1000

The 2021 Baja 1000 was a "Peninsula Run". Meaning the race would start in Ensenada and travel 1225 miles down the Peninsula of Baja California ending in La Paz. Usually, every 3 years the Baja 1000 makes a run down the peninsula. That can present some logistical issues for any race team. With an entire race team being spread out over the 1200-mile course, we didn't see half the team that was involved in the racing effort. To the few that would chase the vehicle down to La Paz this made of one long day on race day.

Monster Energy Can Am

For this year's Baja 1000 Mitchell Alsup and Eric Sheetz were going to jump in the Monster Energy Can Am at mile 840 and take it to the finish in La Paz, mile 1225. Having the last leg of the race our home base was in Loreto. We arrived a week before the start of the race to prerun. Making a few trips for Loreto to La Paz and multiple crossing of the peninsula.
